“What’s done is done. What’s gone is gone. One of life’s lessons is always moving on.”
~ Roy T. Bennett
It has been seven months since the last post. Yes, that’s a long time. And now, here we are, the end of 2021. There is a lot to unpack from the last seven months, many unanswered questions. Instead of trying to unpack everything or answer the questions now, I remind myself of this, from Rainer Maria Rilke:
“I beg you…to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”
As I let go of 2021, I feel satisfied and move forward with eagerness and positive expectations. I am walking into 2022 feeling inspired, enthusiastic, and empowered. I’ll see you there!
